Sculpture

My name is Kristy Smith. I am 18 years old and currently taking Sculpture with Ms. White at the Williston Northampton school. This class has helped me to grow and push my self beyond my thoughts, and helped me to put my ideas from paper into a sculpture of my own. This year we have done three big projects, and a quiz project. The First project of sculpting something with out using any adhesives such as tape or glue was one of my favorite projects. I like working with tissue paper and I thought that the flower turned out nicely. It reminded me a little bit of my final project last year of a big dress made out of tissue paper, which I found out seems to be my go to material. I liked this project because it helped me to think about what i was going to do and work with the material so I got it to stick together. It represents a lot of me with all of the different colors and I like how it looks on the wall. This first semester all together has been a really enjoyable class, yes I admit even the field trip to NY in the pouring rain still was very enlightening.  Ms. White has always been very supportive of me and even when I come into class after a hard day or not feeling well is always understanding. I appreciate her positive attitude and silliness to keep the class fun. Here is my work... Hope you Enjoy :)
